The 3rd ACM Summer School in Europe | Data Science and Big Data
The 3rd ACM Europe Summer School on Data Science will take place in Athens on July 11th-17th 2019. Young Computer Science researchers from all over the world will have the opportunity to attend summer courses in the topics of Data Science, Data Management and Analysis, Machine Learning, Big Data, and Security and Privacy.
The summer school is addressed to young Computer Science researchers and engineers, i.e. young faculty, postdocs, PhD candidates, young engineers from industry and in some special cases MSc students or even senior undergraduate students. In terms of its format, the school will be mostly a mix of formal lectures in the morning and practical exercises in the afternoon with a final test at the end of the week.
Keynote lectures by major figures in the field will also be given at key points of the program. All courses will take place in the Athens Marriott Hotel, which is located on the bustling artery of Syngrou Avenue, opposite the Stavros Niarchos Foundation Cultural Centre.
The School is organized and sponsored by ACM, the ACM Europe Council, the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens and the “Athena” Research and Innovation Center.
It is co-sponsored by ACM SIGMOD, ACM SIGKDD, Microsoft and ACM SIGIR.
The application process is now closed.
